Our vocational school's staffing and physical restructuring process is ongoing; therefore, a visit was made to Karabük University TOBB Technical Sciences Vocational School on Monday, April 27, 2026, to examine the educational activities, administrative processes, and especially the physical facilities such as laboratory infrastructure. The delegation included our Vocational School Director Dr. Assoc. Prof. Kadir KAYAHAN, our Vocational School Secretary Adem AYVALI, our faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet YURDERİ, Dr. Assoc. Prof. Perihan KARAKÖSE, and Lecturer Cumhur TOPCUOĞLU, as well as faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design, Prof. Dr. M. Sabri GÖK, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abid USTAOĞLU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilal KURŞUNCU, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yılmaz KÜÇÜK. As part of the visit, an introductory and informational meeting was first held at the Vocational School Director's office. At the meeting, the Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Hasan Gökkaya provided information about the fact that 8 of the programs within the TOBB Technical Sciences Vocational School receive YÖK (Council of Higher Education) education and training support, and the ongoing efforts to ensure the sustainability of this support. Following this, the laboratories within the vocational school were visited, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hasan GÖKKAYA and Deputy Director Lecturer Şevket ULUTÜRK. The equipment in the laboratories was examined on-site, and detailed information was obtained from the relevant teaching staff. These examinations yielded significant gains that will contribute to the design process of the laboratories planned for our Vocational School during its establishment phase. Following the laboratory visits, a second meeting was held in the meeting room, chaired by Deputy Director Lecturer Şevket ULUTÜRK. During the meeting, an informative presentation was given regarding the performance report requested by the Council of Higher Education. Furthermore, there was a mutual exchange of views on the support provided to vocational schools established in Organized Industrial Zones, education and training activities, and workplace training practices, and potential collaborations and protocols were evaluated. Great importance is placed on infrastructure development to ensure that our Vocational School, which is planned to begin education in the 2026-2027 academic year, achieves its goals.
