Work continues on the Bartın Organized Industrial Zone Vocational School, established within Bartın University (BARÜ) to meet the qualified workforce needs of the industrial sector. In this context, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has approved the opening of an associate degree program in "Machinery" within the Bartın Organized Industrial Zone Vocational School. At BARÜ, which focuses on youth employment and the professions of the future, another important step has been taken towards meeting the sector's need for qualified workforce.

The Machinery program will operate under the Department of Machinery and Metal Technologies. BARÜ will continue its efforts to increase sector-specific training programs in areas needed by the industry.

BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. expressed his satisfaction with the program's approval. Ahmet Akkaya stated, “As Bartın University, we aim to develop our students' knowledge, skills, and competencies in line with the needs of industry and the business world. In this context, we are constantly improving our educational programs to meet the needs of the sector. We will continue to increase the number of departments at the Bartın Organized Industrial Zone Vocational School. I would like to thank our YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and the members of YÖK for their support in our innovative and applied education-focused efforts.”
